Since then, hybrid rockets have started to appear at UK launch events, and now Slack Pete's Rockets is pleased to stock the Hypertek hybrid rocket motor system, with hybrid rocket motors from I-class to M-class! Hybrid rocket motors are cheaper and safer than solid rocket motors, although they generally have a lower average thrust than an equivalent solid rocket motor. Hybrid rocket motors also provide more of a "real" rocket feel to them, what with the oxidiser fill system required, and the venting of excess oxidiser just prior to launch.
