Overview
The PML Half Scale Patriot Missile, is a half scale model of the U.S. missile used in Operation Desert Storm. Standing over 8 feet tall, the half scale Patriot is equipped with a 54mm diameter motor mount, enabling launches on J-class, K-class and L-class motors. The half scale Patriot uses pre-slotted Kraft Phenolic tubing for a strong airframe, strong motor mounts, and strong coupler sections. The fins are pre-cut from super-strong, super-rigid G-10 fibreglass. A piston ejection system is used to ensure reliable parachute deployment, and a strong multi-panel nylon parachute is used to float the Patriot down to a soft landing.

Additional Information
The PML Half Scale Patriot Missile is a giant of a kit, and to build and finish it, it requires significant resources, especially in terms of time, in order to do it justice. The PML Patriot shown here has been modified for 2-stage recovery, with 2 pistons used, firstly with one piston deploying a drogue parachute at apogee, and secondly, with the other piston deploying the main parachute at 450 feet altitude, demonstrating that the PML 2-stage recovery system can even be used on the largest of their rockets!
