Onboard avionics systems are growing in popularity as rocketeers demand increasing complexity as well as a means of accurately logging the altitude, acceleration and speed reached by their rockets.
Slack Pete's Rockets currently stock a comprehensive range of the leading onboard avionics systems (4 altimeter /accelerometers and 1 timer), catering from the beginner to the advanced rocketeer, and catering from altimeters capable of being fitted in model rockets, to full blown flight computers for record attempts.
AED R-DAS
- The R-DAS is currently the most sophisticated high power rocketry avionics system available. Boasting a recording altimeter and accelerometer, the R-DAS also includes 6 analogue inputs, 4 digital inputs, an expansion port for additional igniter/output modules as well as for telemetry, GPS and Infra-red modules. The R-DAS is fully configurable and upgradeable via the Windows 95/98 PC software and RS-232 cable supplied.
BlackSky Research ALTACC
- The ALTACC is a small but capable recording altimeter and accelerometer, and is a popular choice of altimeter/accelerometer amongst rocketeers. The ALTACC comes complete with Windows 95/98 and DOS PC software, as well as PalmPilot connection software, and an RS-232 cable. The ALTACC is also the only recording altimeter/accelerometer on the market which has software available for it for the UNIX and Linux operating systems (available separately).
BlackSky Research Timer2N
- The Timer2N is a small and extremely robust recovery system 2-channel digital timer, designed to fit in airframe diameters down to 38mm diameter. The Timer2N, and its predeccessor, the Timer 2B's reliability and simple operations have made it an extremely popular choice for many rocketeers around the world.
G-Wiz LC Peak Altitude Accelerometer
- The G-Wiz LC Peak Altitude Accelerometer is the entry level altitude recording device supplied by Slack Pete's Rockets. The extremely low cost, and extremely small size (it will fit in a 1 inch diameter tube !), makes it ideal for model rocketeers and High Power rocketeers alike.
G-Wiz LC Deluxe Peak Altitude Altimeter/Accelerometer
- The G-Wiz LC Peak Altitude Altimeter/Accelerometer is the smallest altitude recording device supplied by Slack Pete's Rockets. As with the G-Wiz LC, the G-Wiz LC Deluxe is extremely small (the same size as the G-Wiz LC, in fact), and also includes an extra output channel (making 3 output channels), enabling clustered or staged ignitions via the device, as well as apogee deployment and main chute deployment.
